  1. World Of Male Voices - Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales U.K. on 13th July 2003
Sorry but this one is cancelled much as our Big Sing 2003 was cancelled! (see below)
Here is another male chorus festival in Wales if you can finance it in the same year as "Big Sing 2003"?

    (Info from a publicity release - 19 Jun 01)
Your choir is invited to apply to take part in the World Of Male Voices 2003 Festival on 13th July 2003.
The Festival is in aid of Tenovus, the cancer charity based in Cardiff. It is being organized in consultation with the National Association of Choirs.
You will be singing with some of the world's finest amateur choirs in a magnificent 72,000 seat stadium, built for the Rugby World Cup 1999, in the centre of the beautiful Welsh city of Cardiff.
The Musical Director is Owain Arwel Hughes, and there will be a first class symphony orchestra and a world famous soloist.
The organisers intend to attract up to 10,000 choristers from five continents, and you are asked in the first instance to express your interest in being part of this Festival.
We can arrange hotel accommodation in or near Cardiff at a range of prices. We can also arrange pre- and post-Festival tours. Choirs will not be asked to pay to take part, but will meet their own music, travel and accommodation costs. A meal will be provided for choristers between the afternoon rehearsal and the evening performance on 13th July.

Please let us know by 1st November 2001 whether you want to take part. e-mail: Elaine Schofield

    World of Male Voices
    13 July 2003

    - It is with great regret that we announce that the festival at the Millennium Stadium on July 13 2003 has been cancelled, because of poor ticket sales.
    - Ticket holders can obtain refunds from the Millennium Stadium. Cardiff Marketing will return deposits for any hotel rooms booked through them.
    - The decision to cancel was not one the promoters took lightly. It is sad for the NSPCC, which had hoped for a big boost to its campaign against child cruelty. It is sad for the Stadium, for Cardiff tourism, for the promoters, and for the thousands of choristers who had been looking forward to performing on the biggest stage of their lives.
